About Anushthana
"Anushthana" represents the important attitudes revealed in Patanjali Yoga Sutra — "Abhyasa" (practice) and "Vairagya" (non-attachment).
Anushthana is a traditional spiritual practice gathering with over 50 years of history, originating from Kaivalyadhama Yoga Institution. Practitioners must maintain a unified and pure mind and body for intensive practice lasting 7 to 14 days, focusing on yogic breathing (pranayama) techniques and including fire ceremony, chanting, meditation, philosophical lectures, and Q&A discussions.
Anushthana delves into the practice and techniques of pranayama suitabling for regular practitioners with stable mind and body, capable of maintaining meditative postures for extended periods.
Beyond seeking a balance of mind and body, participants will gain a deeper and more subtle self-awareness, transcending entanglements and the ego.

Bhagavad Gītā‧Pranayama‧ Meditation‧Traditational Yoga
1. In this spiritual retreat, Sudhir Tiwari will focus on the Bhagavad Gita, a classic of Indian philosophy rarely discussed in Taiwan. This classic, passed down for over 2,000 years, explores attitudes towards spiritual practice, including human responsibility, action, karma, and dedication.
2. Through the chapter 6 of the Bhagavad Gita, Sudhir Tiwari will guide the participants to transcend the unavoidable suffering of life through self-awareness and the unity of mind and body, applying the knowledge of the Bhagavad Gita to create various "healthy and harmonious relationships."
3. Yogi practice: Sudhir Tiwari will lead the participants to practice pranayama with the correct techniques, chanting, asanas, and meditation. Applying the knowledge of the Bhagavad Gita and traditional yoga to practice and daily life.
4. The pulse check and personal consultation: All participants will receive the pulse check and individual consultation with Sudhir Tiwari to design a personalized yogi practice tailored to their individual physical and mental condition.
5. Yogi cuisine cooking session: Sudhir Tiwari will guide you step-by-step in creating delicious, healthy, easily digestible, and light yogi meals using readily available Indian spices in Taiwan.
6. The resort place in the rural countryside of Jiaoxi, Yilan, Taiwan, offering convenient transportation and a respite from the hustle and bustle. Connect with the earth, reconnect with energy, and explore the balance and harmony of mind and body.
7. The retreat program is eligible for YACE Yoga Alliance continuing education.

About Sudhir Tiwari
Growing up surrounded by numerous masters at the Kaivalyadhama Yoga Institute, Sudhir Tiwari studied under his guru Swami Digambarji and his father, O. P. Tiwariji. He obtained his advanced diploma from the institute in 1981, making him one of the few yoga teachers today with comprehensive professional training.
For over a decade, Sudhir Tiwari has focused on teaching and research, carrying on the philosophical research and scientific verification tradition of the Kaivalyadhama Yoga Institute. He travels the world, sharing the wisdom of classical yoga philosophy. His retreats and workshops in Taiwan are beloved by practitioners in Taiwan and East Asia, and continue to inspire everyone he encounters.
Anushthana is a tradition started by Swami Digambarji, the second principal of Kaivalydhama. It was passed down by his successors, Swami Maheshanandaji and O. P. Tiwariji, and Sudhir continued and expanded it overseas, allowing more sincere practitioners to learn about Anushthana and traditional yoga practice.
Anushthana Content & Participants Will Learn...
1. Pranayama: Through group session, learning the correct techniques of pranayama to gain the benefits of mental and physical well-being; in the personal consultations and pulse check, Sudhir Tiwari will design personal yoga practice for you.
2. Creating Healthy Relationships Using with Bhagavad Gita: Creating various "healthy and harmonious relationships" in the busy and stressful life: including family, workplace, friends, and society.
3. Fire ceremony & Chanting: Fire ceremony is one of the core practices of Anushthana. The pure flames and chanting purify and protect our mental stability.
4. Yoga Asanas: Gentle asanas establish the foundation for breathing techniques and meditation, relieving tension in the mind and body, and bringing stability and flexibility to the limbs and respiratory muscles.
5. Yogi cuisine cooking session: Learning about basic Indian spices and use ingredients available in Taiwan to prepare nourishing and easily digestible yoga foods.
